Examined Life
I recently watched Examined Life which introduces you to inspiring philosophers.
I enjoyed the movie, but my favourite part was with Slavoj Zizek.

Happy New Year! This year I’m hoping to spend more time blogging, travelling, reading, skating, developing, designing, filming, and taking photos. I’ve decided to do a 365 photo set on Flickr, which involves taking a photo every day for a year. I’d like to add useful tutorials soon, but I’m currently busy with a client’s new website and I’m refreshing my old sites. http://www.flickr.com/photos/vel_lanquibo

Yesterday I officially graduated from Multimedia Production at Confederation College. I’ve decided to take most of the summer off, since the last 3 years have been all work and school. I’ll begin looking for work or clients in August.
The inspiring last lecture by Randy Pausch, a CS professor from CMU, who is dying from pancreatic cancer, entitled “Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams”. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ji5_MqicxSo
Jason Fried’s article “Start a business, not a startup” on the 37signals company blog Signal vs. Noise is worth reading for new entrepreneurs.
I’m finished my multimedia internship as a Student Business Advisor for Student Connections Confederation College. It was a great experience and Student Connections has offered to hire me as a SC Mentor this Fall. However, I’m considering other careers in Thunder Bay, Ottawa, GTA, BC, & overseas. For the moment I plan on improving my current projects.
Today I registered my business OpenWeb Media as a sole-proprietorship. I’m dedicated to making functional, attractive, and affordable websites. I will specialize in open source website production.
I’m officially finished the 1st year of Multimedia Production at Confederation College. I think I’ve found my future career, since most of it comes naturally to me and I enjoy learning new topics. It’s been a positive change since my time in Electrical Engineering at Lakehead University. Most of the CC professors seem more caring than the LU professors that I had. Overall I look forward to the next 2 years and to hopefully start a business soon.
